The specialist practice
MRT works only on water.
A vessel is not a property with smaller rooms. Berths are radiused, stowage is tight, salt and sun are constant and laundry happens on board. MRT exists so yacht work is never treated as an extension of hotel work — a separate practice, with its own specification, materials and schedule.
Carpentry, upholstery frames, structural interior work and on-board installation sit outside this service. Where a refit needs them, MRT works alongside the yard handling that work rather than claiming it.

01 · Cabins and berths
Measured to the berth, not to a size chart.
A sheet cut to a standard double lifts at the foot within a night. Berths are measured individually — depth, corner radius and the way each berth is actually made up — and bed systems are specified per cabin so the owner’s suite and the guest cabins each get what they need.

02 · Saloon and living area
Matched to the interior, not imposed on it.
Existing upholstery is matched rather than fought. We work from photographs and fabric references so new textiles read as part of the interior the yard delivered — down to the piping and the edge finish.

03 · Flybridge and sun deck
The hardest environment on board.
Salt, UV and moisture decide the materials before anyone talks about colour. Everything here is specified for exposure first and appearance second — then chosen so it still belongs to the interior below.

04 · Bathrooms and heads
One family of textiles, not five separate orders.
Bath sheet, hand towel, face cloth, mat and robe are specified together — same fibre, same weight, same white. Ordered separately they arrive in four different whites, and the difference shows the moment they hang side by side.

Capability
What sits behind the specification.
A textile package looks simple on paper. What decides whether it arrives correct, on time and matching in three years is the operation behind it — sourcing, sampling, inspection and record-keeping. The part the owner never sees, and the part that determines the result.
One person carries the project
There is no account manager between you and the work. The person who takes the measurements writes the specification, approves the samples, checks production and answers the phone in season. Yards, captains and designers deal with one contact.
Personalisation
Set once. Repeated exactly.
Letterform, thread weight, stitch density, placement and distance from the border are decided once and recorded. A towel replaced in the third season matches the set delivered at handover.
Programmes
Four ways a vessel project usually begins.
Seasonal Refresh
Renewal before the season opens. Worn pieces replaced, quantities topped up, the specification checked against how the vessel was used last year.
Pre-Owned Reset
A complete textile reset after a change of ownership. Everything previous removed, the vessel measured again, a new package built around the new owner.
Refit Support
Textile work running alongside a refit. We coordinate with the yard, designer or project manager and take the soft goods off their list.
In-Marina Refresh
The yacht stays in use. We review the textile needs on board, build the specification and manage production off-site. Once ready, the finished textiles are delivered directly back to the vessel.
